Week of October 2, 2006
In this episode, Jim Shearer interviewed Regina Spektor. Her newest album, Begin To Hope, was released in June. Here's the playlist for episode #168:
Tapes n' Tapes - Cowbell
Nightmare of You - The Days Go By Oh So Slow
Mr. Lif - Brothaz
The Horrors - Sheena Is A Parasite
The Walkmen - Louisiana
Against Me! - From Her Lips To God's Ears
Regina Spektor - Fidelity
Murder by Death - Brother
Death Cab For Cutie - I Will Follow You Into The Dark
Regina is great; the "Fidelity" song is good stuff and the video is nuts. I love how colorful it is.

The video is indeed nuts but it goes well with how good Fidelity is! Ever since I heard it, I've been really into it, so nice to know you think it is good stuff as well. I wouldn't say it's the best song ever but there's something about it that reminds me of Fiona Apple which just makes me like it even more. In addition to that video being nuts, "From Her Lips To God's Ears" was pretty insane too.
I can't wait until the October 22nd show!
Mr. Lif is cool I bought a cd by him back when I was Aesop Rock crazy. The Walkmen do western, I think they are copying me : http://hey_dtx.tripod.com/id30.html
I bought Bows and Arrows when it came out. Tapes n Tapes are cool they sound better every time I hear them. Cool they are from the east coast like me. Me and Mrs. Radman are from Connecticut from generations back. Too bad I may never return since Connecticut kept trying to kill me. (it's a long story) I will be watching this Sunday.
