Sub #173: The Rapture
In this episode of Subterranean on MTV2, Jim Shearer interviewed The Rapture. They're back with a new album, Pieces of the People We Love, that was released in September.
Here's the playlist for episode #173:
Lily Allen - Smile TV On The Radio - Wolf Like Me Dirty On Purpose - Light Pollution Regina Spektor - Fidelity Cursive - Dorothy At Forty Sonic Youth - Do You Believe In Rapture? The Rapture - Get Myself Into It Thom Yorke - Harrowdown Hill Cat Power - Lived In Bars
Subterranean just keeps bringin' it with another great episode this week. I watched this one online, so if there's any difference from the videos that aired on MTV2, someone comment and let me know.
It's good to hear from The Rapture again after two or three years of absence. I think I liked almost every video this week. I've been following Lily Allen since the early summer. Her entire album is fantastic, in my opinion, a contender for one of the best albums of the year. Plus, TV On The Radio put together the best music of their career with Return to Cookie Mountain, and Wolf Like Me is a shining example of that. Finally, I can't get enough of the new videos by Regina Spektor, Thom Yorke, and Cat Power, so it was nice to watch those again. No complaints from me this time around.
Last but not least, MTV.com selected some quality bonus videos, including a Talking Heads classic. Watch the entire episode here: http://www.mtv.com/overdrive/?type=41&id=1545462Labels: Subterranean playlists

Hey There,
Did anyone record this show onto DVD-R?
I tried to.. and the show ran way over 63 minutes. So I missed the second half of the "Cat Power" video and the final "Interview" segment.
If you recorded this show and were able to catch the end.. Please throw me an e-mail. I have many older shows to trade.

Great line-up of videos. Nice to see the additional videos on the site, including Talking Heads and another Sonic Youth video.
I just found out that ou can use either a google username or a blogger username. Cool. Also cool, being able to search through youtube, as well as through your posts, from this site.
Any tips for those with a failed Live Bookmark of your site? I've had "Live Bookmark feed failed to load" for days and while it is no problem to visit the site on it's own, I was wondering if there was way to bring back my RSS feed for updates.
plarocks, sorry, looks like nobody has it.
