Sub #172: Beck

Week of November 6, 2006

SubterraneanIn this episode of Subterranean on MTV2, Jim Shearer interviewed Beck. His latest album, The Information, was released on October 3, 2006.

Here's the playlist for episode #172. Click on a video below or watch the entire episode.

Beck - Think I'm In Love
Beck - Hell Yes
Beck - Cell Phone's Dead
Beck - 1000 BPM
Beck - Loser
Beck - No Complaints
Beck - Nausea
Beck - We Dance Alone
Beck - Beer Can

As a long-time fan of Beck, I thought this episode was great. It was cool that MTV2 played some of the low-budget videos from the DVD that comes with The Information plus a few of his other videos. The interview was relatively informative too. Top notch episode, in my opinion. What do you all out there think?

MTV.com has now added this episode. Lots of great extra videos, including Where It's At, Devil's Haircut, and E-Pro. Link is above.

It was good to see Beck and his videos and two band members, but that interviewer asked lame questions and let awkward pauses drag on for too long.

I definitely agree that this was a great episode! It was great seeing all of his videos, especially the ones for The Information. I had no idea he had a video for 1000 BPM and We Dance Alone! I wish they had included E-Pro... however, that did not affect how much I enjoyed the episode.

I am certainly becomming a Beck fan. This episode made me want to pick up The Information even more. Next time I get to a store I probably will get it.

When did the show announce that the episode would consist of only Beck? I could watch one or two videos of Beck, but I like the show better when it varies.

Oasis should be good (if it is not only Oasis).
