Sub #175: The Horrors

week of November 27, 2006

SubterraneanIn this episode of Subterranean on MTV2, Jim Shearer interviewed The Horrors. Their latest self-titled EP is out now.

Here's the playlist for episode #175:

Band Of Horses - The Great Salt Lake
Mew - Special
Viva Voce - From The Devil Himself
Murder By Death - Brother
The Black Keys - Your Touch
Mr. Lif - Brothaz
The Horrors - Sheena Is A Parasite
Sean Lennon - Dead Meat
Camera Obscura - Lloyd, I'm Ready To Be Heartbroken

Another pretty good episode. I'm not really a fan of The Horrors, personally, but quality show overall. Some good video selections this week; it's good to see the new one from The Black Keys on there.

Is there any formula for the number of repititions per video? I notice that some videos will debut, disappear for months, then resurface before retirement altogether.

(For the admission that I prefer the online version of the show, I should go to hell, but I will die right.)

Vote for The Honorary Title, "Frame by Frame", for the Top Ten of 2006!

Hey world please sell me A.R.E. Weapons new CD at Best Buy! And the newest Panthers CD. I discovered these bands on Subterranean and they do not seem to be picked up by record labels that sell in stores!!!

Anyhow about this weeks show: Band Of Horses I have to agree with Jim Shearer these guys are really great! I have like them since I saw them months ago. I also really like Murder By Death I wish I had a relationship like that with my brothers (like in the video). Any one out there hear me my brother's name is Joseph Augeri and he has turned his back on me tell him not to and send me his email address. The same for my half brother Leo Siecienski. He was one of the founders of straight edge. I loved him so much when I was 16 it drove me to a the brink of insanity when I ran away from home from missing him. They both rain from Connecticut my home state.

I'm with you on The Black Keys ... I'm desperate to see them live soon. Too bad they won't be in the Boston area soon.

There's a couple of articles on the nascent National Gazette private beta regarding The Black Keys and The Horrors. Check us out. Our goal is to have as many original writers and voices as possible. Not a typical newspaper...
