Sub #183: no guest / Lily Allen
Once again, there was no guest on this week's episode of Subterranean on MTV2, but Jim Shearer provided some more voiceovers for us. Here's the playlist for episode #183:
Muse - Starlight Teddybears featuring Mad Cobra - Cobrastyle Lily Allen - Smile Tokyo Police Club - Nature of the Equipment Dr. Dog - My Old Ways Dirty on Purpose - No Radio Klaxons - Atlanis to Interzone The Decemberists - O Valencia! Sean Lennon - Dead Meat El Perro Del Mar - God Knows
Apparently there's going to be some video picks from Lily Allen posted online soon. I'll probably check that out. Her album Alright, Still was my choice for the best of 2006. She was also on SNL on Saturday, and I think she did a wonderful job, but of course I'm going to think so.
Check back later for the link to the online stuff. Make sure to read my MTV rant below. Finally, it's too bad for the Bears; I was hoping they'd win tonight, but nope. Congrats to the Colts in any case.

Anyone know who sings the song that scores the Subterranean commercial with people bouncing on beds? Thanks in advance.
I believe the song you are refering to is "We Are the Sleepyheads" by Belle & Sebastian. It was off of their 2006 album "The Life Pursuit."
I have o be honest, never heard her album last year just kept seeing the cover in magazines. Saw her on SNL and thought the song was catchy, the vocal performance was pretty weak. Kinda made me wonder if she would have made it to Hollywood if she we auditioning for American Idol...
I'll give the album a chance.
Does anyone know the song that's played when MTV2 has tour dates.. it's like a synth in the background and it's beautiful.
